Thickener Gel

This is simply a pre-mixed Xanthan Gum and Vegatble Glycerine gel.

Xanthan Gum is a natural thickening agent for water based solutions, it can turn water to gel! However when used alone it can be hard to disperse and be lumpy if you don't use a stick blender.

The use of Glycerine helps emulsify the xanthan gum more evenly and also helps suspend your ingredients in your end product. In addition, it a great moisturiser!

Thickening and Stabilising
Xanthan gum is renowned for its exceptional thickening and stabilising properties. It can increase the viscosity of liquids, creating a desirable texture in products like sauces, dressings, and lotions. In cleaning products, it adds thickness to solutions, allowing them to cling to surfaces for better cleaning.

Emulsifying
Xanthan gum can help stabilise emulsions by preventing the separation of oil and water-based ingredients. This is valuable in cosmetics and personal care products such as creams, lotions, and serums, where it ensures a consistent and smooth formulation.

Binding and Suspension
In food products, xanthan gum acts as a binding agent, helping ingredients stay together. It's also used to suspend solid particles in liquid solutions, preventing them from settling. This is particularly useful in salad dressings, beverages, and some cleaning solutions.

Moisture Retention
Due to its water-absorbing properties, xanthan gum can help retain moisture in both food and cosmetic formulations. This is especially beneficial in products like moisturisers, hair conditioners, and certain baked goods.

Gel Formation
Xanthan gum can create stable gels when combined with water, making it useful in products like gel-based cleaning solutions, hand sanitisers, and certain cosmetics.

• Use to thicken water-based products like castile soap for dish liquid

Bathroom

• Mix to thicken a citric acid solution or vinegar to make a toilet gel
• Thicken other water-based products like hand, body wash and dog wash!
